Dear Emily, What beautiful pictures, and isn't it nice to go on a private trip at Thanksgiving-time? It works for us. thanks & love, sussah

Vacation, indeed - and one that took you to Francophone Canada, where I hope that the call to speak in French didn't make you break out in a cold sweat as it did those many summers ago. My one very clear memory of Montreal is the bilingual menu at the McDonald's. Hmm: maybe it's time to go back. ; ) Hope your mini-vacation was re-energizing as a hot Chaider.

so so glad you got to get away for a week and see reindeer and have a sensory deprivation experience! i would love to go on a snowy mountain drive with a mug of cocoa right about now...i'll settle for a nap instead, and try to dream about it!
