Three Things to Love about November News...

These new giraffes came in the mail and have taken residence in our extra room...

As it turns out, next time the Christmas greens come out, we won't be the only ones to appreciate them...

Sumanth took a preliminary claim at primary colors for the nursery by buying this mobile at a Swedish gift shop in Chicago.

The baby is due June 13th, so whether it comes a little early or a little late, next June's post will be something to look forward to!

I think babies do love mobiles but not necessarily those constant lullaby tunes. We're so happy thinking about the three of you. love, sussah

you can always re-claim soft pastels if needed! that mobile is beautiful, and I would like to know if the tiny giraffes were an early baby gift?

Emily! this will be very strange and random, I suppose, but I was at Ghost Ranch with you many moons ago, in TIP. I found myself thinking of you the other day, typed your old hotmail address into google, and found this. It is just magical. I hope you're well, and have the fondest memories of writing and hiking and talking with you in the desert.
Best, Avery

Thank you everyone for the well wishes! Lindsey--I had forgotten that that was your birthday, but now I'm remembering when it came during our summer in the attic. Manda, the tiny giraffes were early baby gifts. They look so out of place right now in the dining room with all of our dishes and adult furniture.

Avery, it made my day to hear from you! It made me remember once when you were editing one of my stories about Quaker meeting and I said that the walls were the color of oatmeal, and you wrote "uh-oh" in the margin. That was such a good catch! I'd love to hear what you're up to--my new email address is emily (dot) prabhaker (at) gmail (dot) com
