Steamy peppermint tea on frosty mornings

Blue skies on snowy days (this is where I get off of the train in the mornings)
New winter boots with fuzzy insides
There is, of course, an accompanying list of things to hate about January--which would include: weather forecasts like this morning's that declare "Northeast Misery", umbrellas that blow inside out during a freezing rain storm, and waiting for the T to come with windblown groceries in hand, but I won't include photographs of them:)

oh i feel warmed...so warmed by raspberry hues resonating through the tea, and the softness of furry boots like a little cat purring against your feet...let it protect you mightily against northeast misery indeed...
The pleasures of the south are of the opposite nature. I think that the temperature "zero" should be what we call 72 degrees F. glad you're appreciating the blue sky of north and south. Love, susanna
I love this, Emily. Everything you write always makes me want to curl up on the couch with a cozy blanket, good book and cup of tea. :) Happy 2009 ~
Emily, the simple beauty you see in life (and open my eyes to) grounds me. Write more, write more!
