Three things to love about July

The best neighborhood find to have ever been found--a shimmery blue lake for swimming, just a seven minute walk from our apartment. If you squint you can see me and my turquoise bathing suit.

My new ipad. With this little smoothie at my fingertips, my commute has gotten quite a bit more exciting.

Iced coconut coffee from Marylou's during our first trip to Cape Cod. Driving over the bridge to the Cape reminded me of family vacations to the beach when I was little.

Dear Emily, I like that picture of you at the lake, it was easy to find you after double-biggifying the photo. Plus knowing the color of your bathing suit. thanks for posting, it's very nice to have these lovable highlights of your life. love, sussah

I had an iced mocha joy the other day, which was basically chocolate coconut iced coffee. SO DELISH! I always love your 3 things.

I agree with Amber - it's so nice how you inspire us with the positive in life! And your swimming lake is beautiful!

Whoa, dang - no kidding that little smoothie makes the commute a little easier. Gone are the days with the old black laptop plugged into a telephone line-splitter. Wishing you many more days of smooth train rides, full of people who, in your words, look at one another as if they see that the other is a real person.
